Open since 1996, Buffalo Bill’s Tavern occupies a sought after sea front position on the Naresdamri Road opposite the famous Saeng Thai Seafood restaurant in the centre of Hua Hin.

Old West Style Bar
Buffalo Bill’s Tavern, or ‘Ye Olde Buffalo Tavern’ as it is called on the sign, has been fitted out to look like an old west American bar. The furniture, floor and walls are all dark stained wood. There is also a proper English style bar serving beer and cider on tap.

Western Menu
This is a proper Western style pub and it has an extensive Western food menu as well. Buffalo Bill’s Tavern serves amongst the best Western food in Hua Hin. Their spare ribs have been rated by the Bangkok Post as the best in Thailand.

The all day breakfasts are very popular (the ‘big breakfast’ is so large that it is served on a tray rather than a plate), as are their every day Sunday Roasts for 290 THB a plate. There are many other great dishes as well, both Western and Thai.
Jacket Potato With Chilli Beef
When I last went I wanted something a bit lighter for lunch so I opted for Jacket Potato with Chilli Beef for 150 THB. I asked for it to be spicy and it hit the mark completely. Very tasty.

I also had two pints of Leo beer from the pump at 120 THB each. I do not normally drink at lunch time but the meal was so pleasant, there was a nice sea breeze, and under the circumstances I couldn’t resist a freshly pulled beer in a proper pint glass.
Thai Food At Buffalo Bill’s Tavern
My Thai wife didn’t want Western food so she ordered a Yam Talay (spicy seafood salad) for 180 THB and a watermelon shake for 130 THB. The Thai food is, in all honesty, overpriced and my wife thought it was only OK. Nonetheless my wife still enjoyed coming here – it’s a nice place.
This is a restaurant specialising in Western Food, which they do very well, and Thai food which they do less well. For me, I could eat here everyday. My wife however would rather go somewhere else to eat.
