Best Option: Lomprayah Ferry
The Lomprayah High Speed Ferry Company is slightly more expensive than the Songerm and Seatran Discovery ferries but the service is much better. Large items of luggage are taken on and off the boat by the staff and the seating on the Lomprayah ferries is better and there is more of it.

Koh Phangan Ferry Port
Ferry services to Koh Tao depart from Koh Phangan’s main port in Thong Sala. Thong Sala in the South of Koh Phangan and no more than 45 minutes drive away from all points in the island.
There many shared and private taxi services on Koh Phangan and it is normally very simple to get a taxi in time for the boat. If you are staying in Mae Haad, Than Sadet, or Thong Nai Pan you should book a taxi in advance. My advice is to ask at your hotel or resort about getting to Thong Sala on time for a boat connection as they can normally provide you with the best advice about local taxi services and prices.
