Taxi and Bus services in Koh Samui
We do not recommend taking taxis in Koh Samui as they tend to be expensive, particularly for foreign visitors, and for longer journeys you are better off using one of the cheaper shared transport services operating on the island. Unless you have lot of luggage, or young children, the extra time and inconvenience involved in travelling with a shared service tends to be fairly minimal in comparison to the additional amount you will pay for an over priced taxi in Koh Samui.
- Na Thon Piers: Your best option for travel from either of the two ferry piers in Na Thon is to take a shared taxi from the car park in front of the Lomprayah Ferry Pier, which is a short walk from the Seatran Pier in Na Thon. If you travel by shared taxi you may need to stop close your destination and then walk or take a taxi for the short journey to your final destination.
