These services are all operated by the Sri Trang Bus Company. Passengers should check-in at the Sri Trang Counter at Phuket Bus Terminal 2 at least 30 minutes before the departure time of the bus. The bus stops once on route at a roadside restaurant with toilets and a shop. Passengers on the VIP 24 bus get a blanket, drink and snack. If you travel on the cheaper Express service you need to bring your own blanket and refreshments.
Flight Times from Phuket to Hat Yai
Fligths from Phuket to Hat Yai are operated by Bangkok Airways. Bangkok Airways is a ‘full service carrier’ with a better standard of service than ‘low cost’ carriers. No meal is served on this flight but there are free drinks and snacks available to Bangkok Airways passengers in the departure lounge of Phuket International Airport.

Phuket Bus Terminal 2 is located 4.9 km by road to the North of Phuket Town. Bus Terminal 2 is the major long distance bus terminal for the island of Phuket. Public transport, mostly in the form of minivans and shared songthaew taxis, run from most parts of Phuket Island to this bus station making it one of the cheaper and easier places on Phuket Island to get to.

Arrival in Hat Yai By Bus
Sri Trang bus services from Phuket to Hat Yai terminate at Hat Yai Bus Station. Hat Yai Bus Station is 2.8 km away from Hat Yai Train Station which is in the centre of Hat Yai town near to a wide range of hotel, restaurants and bars. Most foreign visitors to Hat Yai choose to stay in this part of the town. There are normally plenty of motorbike taxis and taxi vans waiting for passengers at the entrance to Hat Yai Bus Station. Expect to pay around 40 to 60 THB for the journey from Hat Yai Bus Station to Hat Yai town centre.
