I am planning to take my wife to be on a honeymoon is Thailand later in the year. We want to relax on a beautiful beach which isn’t too touristy and full of touts or people getting drunk. We would like a good quality luxury hotel. Any suggestions?

We suggest you try Thong Nai Pan Noi beach in Koh Phangan.
Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach
This is a great beach which is good for swimming, absolutely annoying people on the beach such as deckchair salesmen, and has a family/couple oriented atmosphere. This is one of the best beach destinations in Thailand, some say the best, and has 4 luxury hotels on the beach front to choose from, all ideal for that luxury once in a lifetime get away.
Four Luxury Resorts To Choose From
Buri Rasa Village: The best value for money of the 4 luxury hotels and the most popular in terms of its occupancy rate. This hotel has rooms and detached bungalows starting at around 7,500 THB per night.
Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas: Considered by many to be the most luxurious hotel in Koh Phangan, the place to go if you want that really special experience. They have detached bungalows with direct beach front front access. Starting at around 13,500 THB per night.
Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort and Spa: Fantastic large hotel with rooms and detached villas built largely in wood in Northern Thailand Lanna style. Great views over the three Thong Nai Pan beaches and a very large swimming pool with faux waterfall built in rock. It has a great Spa overlooking the coast. Starting at 11,800 THB per night.
Panviman Resort Koh Phangan: The first luxury hotel on Koh Phangan and the cheapest. They have a wide range of room types from hotel rooms to luxury detached pool villas. Of particular note is the breakfast restaurant on the hillside with a fantastic view over Thong Nai Pan Noi and Thong Nai Pan Yai bays. Starting at 8,000 THB regular price for a room, although they often have special deals on hotel rooms for as low as 3,000 THB per night particularly if you visit low season May to June.
