The Jinta City Hotel in Koh Samui is the ideal place to stay on a small budget if you want to catch an early Seatran ferry from Nathon town to Surat Thani.
Close to the Ferry Pier in Nathon
It is a 8 minute (600 metre) walk away from the pier and costs around 585 THB a night for a standard room if booked online. The walk in rate charged by this hotel is generally more than the rate charged online.

Room Types at the Jinta City Hotel

There are two room types at this hotel: standard and superior. The room pictured above is a standard room. For the price it was a real bargain. The air-con worked, clean, and with a fridge, free WiFi and a TV. The TV had very poor reception and I could not watch any English language channels, however, everything else was fine and the WiFi was quick enough to watch a film online.

All Rooms Have Private Entrances

Most of the rooms at the Jinta City Hotel are ground floor level leading onto a garden, where there is a pool and a small reception building. Outside all the rooms there is a small seating area ideal for smokers. This is a relaxed place which has open access from the road. When I stayed I left very early in the morning to catch an early Seatran ferry to Donsak and the reception told me to simply leave the key in the door. There are no drinks in the fridge so they do not need you to do a check out before leaving. Very convenient.
Good Budget Hotel near the Ferry Pier
Did the job. I slept fine and I can’t argue with the price. There are a few good restaurants nearby and a 7-Eleven store where you can buy snacks and drinks. All very convenient and I caught my 05.00 ferry without worrying about getting on overpriced Koh Samui taxi, very few of which are willing to use a meter.
