You walk away from the beach where Buri Rasa Resort is situated 230 metres down the road and Hacienda Happy Days is located on your left at the corner of the turning down a side road. It’s the only Mexican restaurant in a small village, you can’t miss it.

Very nice indeed and a welcome change to Thai food. My Thai wife will eat Mexican food here which is a massive compliment to the kitchen as she is normally reluctant to eat anything except super spicy Thai food.

Food at Hacienda Happy Days
The menu is more authentic Mexican street food than tex-mex. It features nachos, burritos, enchiladas tacos, tortillas and salads. A recent and welcome addition to the menu is home made Chilli Beef (also known as Chilli con Carne). Not strictly a Mexican dish but it tastes great in a taco or on rice.
Quick Service at Hacienda Happy Days
The food comes very quickly here. The chef explained to me that he prepare the ingredients fresh each afternoon and then the finishing of the dishes in the pan is very easy – the way Mexican food should be. There is also a good range of drinks including bottled ciders, imported beers, wines and spirits. They also knock up a mean Margarita. What more could you want?
