Superior Room

I first stayed here in March 2016 and I booked a Superior room online for 700 THB a night. I have stayed here again since then as well.

The Superior room appears to differ from the standard room type by being slightly bigger and having a balcony.

Comfortable Bed

The bed was was very comfortable and had I not been catching a ferry at 05.00 the next morning I would have allowed myself a lie-in. I was not really aware of any other guests and it was quiet, with a small amount of noise from the road in front.

Clean Room

The room was very clean and everything worked, included the air-conditioning. The balcony was good as you do not need to go outside if you want to smoke.

English Channels on the TV

The room has a fridge with a single bottle of cold water provided. The TV had English and other European language channels and good reception. The bathroom was similarly well equipped and maintained. The shower had a good hot water supply.

Best Hotel near Nathon Ferry Pier

The Nathon Residence is probably the best of the range of moderately priced hotels, such as the Jinta City Hotel, in Nathon Town. The main reason for staying in Nathon is to be close to the Seatran and Lomprayah piers for an early morning ferry. The ferry piers are 5 minutes walk away from this hotel, which is about the same distance away as the hotels on the sea front. For 700 THB it is very good value for money – a real winner. The lady who runs this hotel is very friendly and kind, however, please note that ‘overnight’ guests are not allowed. It is not that kind of hotel. A lot of families stay here.
