The Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort is the most expensive and luxurious resort on Sichon beach.
Prasarnsook Beach Villa Resort
They have beach view rooms and a large swimming pool. This hotel is popular with Thai families stop over of choice to break up a long distance journey long Thailand’s main North/South highway. More popular still is the resort’s beach front restaurant located within a large circular building with open sided and a roof made from natural materials.

Restaurant at Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort
The restaurant at the Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort is smartly and elegantly decorated. The service was efficient, and polite, with a dedicated waiter or waitress or each table who is quick to refill your glass, or take further orders as necessary.

This is a perfect restaurant for a romantic meal, with dim lighting and a view out over Sichon beach along which the resort places lanterns to good effect.
Seafood at Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort
The restaurant’s menu focuses heavily on Thai seafood dishes. There were meat dishes and some European style dishes, but not as many. The range of exciting seafood dishes on offer was impressive.

There were quite a few dishes we wanted because it is not often that you find them on restaurant menus, such as a favourite of mine about which I have written previously: Yam Kai Mangda Talay (horse shoe crab salad). In the end we decided to order half a kilogram of grilled prawns and Meang Pla Sam Lee (king fish deep fried with garlic, chilli, herbs and sugar).
Cost of food at Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort
Both dishes cost 450 THB. The portions were large and they are meant to be shared amongst larger groups. For two people we found the portions were too large. The preparation of the dishes was excellent. My Thai wife, who is very particular about Thai dishes being prepared to traditional recipes, thought the fried king fish was good. The prawns were a let down though.

They were not that fresh and they lost of lot taste as a consequence. We think, in fairness to the Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort, we had visited at the wrong time: namely, a Monday night after a wet weekend. When the weather is good Sichon beach becomes very busy at the weekend. When we eat at the restaurant it had been quiet on both Saturday and Sunday and the food we were served on Monday evening may have been in storage for several days longer than normal by the time it reached our plate. Nonetheless, we intend on staying at Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort when we next go to Sichon and we plan to eat at the restaurant again.
