Trang Bus Terminal is the main long distance bus terminal in Trang.
The bus terminal is located out of town so you need to take a motorbike taxi or tuk tuk to travel into the town centre.
About Trang Bus Terminal
Trang Bus Terminal is a medium sized bus station with a small range of services to destinations in the south of Thailand and Bangkok. For travel to destinations such as Hua Hin, Ranong or cities to the north and east of Bangkok you will need to change bus either in Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat or Bangkok.
The majority of services operating out of Trang Bus Terminal are minivan services. Bus services tend to only operate on longer distance routes such as to Phuket and Bangkok. The exception to this is the excellent bus service from Trang to Nakhon Si Thammarat which uses modern half length buses which are far more comfortable than minivans although they travel more slowly, and most likely are much safer.

Buy Tickets at the Bus Station
The ticket counters at Trang Bus Terminal are located inside the main terminal building as you enter the bus station via the main entrance.
The ticket counters on your right as you enter the terminal building are where they sell minivan ticket. The long distance bus companies have separate ticket counters in the passage way leading to the waiting area by the bus platforms. Each ticket counter only sells tickets for one specific company so for destinations, such as Bangkok, where more than one company provides services it is worth checking at the different ticket counters before you purchase your ticket to find the bus service which is best for you.
