Passengers board the speedboat in Koh Lipe via a floating plastic pontoon moored to the beach. It’s fairly easier to get on and off the speedboat with the staff taking luggage from passengers to store in the front part of the speedboat for the journey. The boat will have a single toilet.
Arrival at Pak Bara Pier
On arrival at Pak Bara Pier passengers will transfer to a bus or minivan for the second stage of the journey, which is by road 124 km to Hat Yai. This second stage of the journey also takes around 2 hours as the road because the road for the first part of the journey is narrow and traffic moves fairly slowly until joining a main road about halfway to Hat Yai.

For more and better food options and a supermarket we suggest that you leave the bus station via the main pedestrian entrance and explore the street in front of the station, which has both food stalls and inside restaurants and cafes.
Arrival in Bangkok
On arrival at Bangkok Northern Bus Terminal we recommend that you take a meter taxi to either Mo Chit BTS station or the closer Kamphaeng Phet MRT station for onward travel into Central Bangkok.
