Travel from the Bus Station to the City Centre

For cheaper travel into Chiang Mai Old Town walk across to the adjacent Chiang Mai Bus Terminal 3 from where shared taxi services towards the Old Town frequently depart. Where to Stay

There are two main places where visitors to Chiang Mai tend to stay: the Old Town and Riverside Area between the Changklan Road and the Ping River. Both areas have a range of hotels on offer, however, the cheaper backpacker style accommodation tends to be found in the Old Town as well as the bars and restaurants most popular with younger visitors.
