I am looking for somewhere east to get to in Bangkok, near a BTS station that does authentic Chinese food. I don’t want to go to a modern expensive restaurant. Any recommendations?

Try Yong Lee on the corner of the Sukhumvit Road and Soi 15. It is near to the Nana BTS station.
Authentic Thai-Chinese Food
You can’t get much more authentic than this for (Thai style) Chinese food – the restaurant has been here for more than 100 years passed down through the generations of a Thai-Chinese family.
Very Old Restaurant
The current proprietors are in their 80s and are the children of the people who originally established the restaurant. It is a treasure trove of history which lots of trinkets and pictures on the wall. They haven’t gone upmarket, despite the prime location, and they haven’t done much to modernise the interior.
Inexpensive
It is not super cheap, but then again for the area it is not that expensive. Expect to pay 100 THB to 200 THB a dish.
