Review of the Wimaan Buri Resort, Chaweng, Koh Samui

The Wimaan Buri Resort is a 7 minute (550 metre) walk from Tesco Lotus Chaweng, located on a side road off the Island’s main ring road.

Reasonably Priced Resort

This reasonably priced resort is primarily aimed at Thai tourists with a car.

However, its closeness to Tesco Lotus and the ring road, along which many shared taxis ply their trade, make the resort accessible to visitors without a car.

Location of the Wimaan Buri Resort

The best feature of this hotel is its location. Its only 200 metres from the ring road, but it feels further as the area has lots of trees and in the background is a heavily forested hillside which we could see from the balcony of our room.

Rooms at the Wimaan Buri Resort

The room itself was clean and large enough. The air-conditioning worked as did the free WiFi. The shower had reasonably hot water and the satellite TV worked, although the range of channels was limited. My only problem was that the mattress was too hard. This may not be the case in every room.

Muay Thai Gym at the Hotel

This hotels has good facilities nearby. In addition to the cinema and shopping outlets at the Tesco Lotus complex, there is a nearby Family Mart convenience store, an onsite Muay Thai gym and a large bar and restaurant.
